There are 3 variations of the Granada Sports Coupe:
'76 Granada Sports Coupe Spring Edition
'77 Granada Sports Coupe
'77-1/2 Granada Sports Coupe Spring Edition
For the GMV spotter, the easist way to identify a Sports Coupe is by the Interior Trim code on the driver's door. All Sports Coupe trim codes begin with a "P". Aside from the trim code, Sports Coupes have unmistakable woven inserts in the seats and door panels unlike all other 1976-77 models.
One of the key differences between the Sports Coupe and the former Sports Sedan is 1) there is no Granada emblems on the interior door panels and 2) the choice of colour options - the Sports Coupe is offered in red in addition to the Sports Sedan colours of Black, White and Dark Brown.

No car can be categorized a "sports coupe" on its dimensions alone.
For road performance at the sporting level this special Granada has been equipped with a heavy-duty suspension, heavy-duty front and rear shock absorbers and heavy-duty rear springs.
The interior of this Granada has also been designed for the pleasures of driving. Notable are its contoured bucket seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and floor shift. Wiper/washer controls are positioned for instant reach on turn signal lever, European style.
To further enhance the performance of your car, the Granada Sports Coupe offers a great range of special equipment to order from.
Some ideas: Consider the optional 351 CID 2V-8 engine ($200.00) as your Granada power plant. The Granada Sports Coupe comes with manual transmission. Purists will approve. But you may prefer Selectshift (required with the 351 CID 2V-8 engine - $245.00). Granada is one of the few American cars to offer 4-wheel disc brakes. You can add them on your Sports Coupe for a sticker price of $210.00.
If you are thinking this year about buying a sports coupe, under any circumstances, consider the new Granada Sports Coupe. Starting at $4,189 (excluding taxes, title, destination charges) it is a remarkable achievement by almost any standard.
